Parkside offers a comprehensive sport & extra-mural programme that encompasses, both the competitive and wellness elements of physical activity. Within a broader context of a balanced and holistic education, our sport, PE and extra-mural programme are intended to foster health, fitness, teamwork, commitment, social interaction and sportsmanship.
The aim of our programmes is to encourage and nurture our learners to participate at the highest levels of primary school sport.
Inter- School sport is played under the banner of the Queensburgh and Districts Primary Schools Sports Association. (Q&D)
Higher levels of participation will involve our learners participating in Durban South, Durban Central, Umlazi District and KZN.
Athletics
Umlazi District & KZN Trials
are held in February.
Inter-House Athletics Day is hosted in August and Inter-School Athletics, held in September.

Swimming is done in PE lessons in Term 1 & Term 4. The ability to swim is a life skill and all learners are motivated to learner to swim and to participate in activities.
Our Inter-house gala is held in Term 1.

Touch Rugby matches are played in Term 3.
